This woodland with panoramic views sits just off the A9. Take a relaxing stroll in this forest on the city's edge. The paths here are wide and fairly level, so they’re ideal for family cycling or even cross-country skiing after snow.
A colourful wood where wildlife flourishes. Glaciers from the last ice age carved out the landscape here. The retreating ice left us with esker ridges and kettle hole lochans. Look out for beautiful wildflowers in spring.
Drink in the view, listen to the birdsong, explore the past. This pretty, mixed forest leads to some of the best views in Inverness. You'll also find an Iron Age hillfort on top of Ord Hill which was once an impressive sight.
A rushing burn, and an ancient woodland of tall trees. Explore a spectacular gorge and pay your respects to some of the tallest trees in Britain. Here you'll find Douglas firs towering at over 65 metres in height and Britain’s tallest larch and lime tree.
