Tweed Valley Osprey Project

Location: Glentress

Since 1998, volunteers have been helping staff keep an eye on osprey nests during nesting season. This supports the growth of the osprey population in the Scottish Borders.

Glentress Trailfairies

Location: Glentress

The Glentress Trailfairies help  with maintenance work on existing mountain bike trails. They also hand-build new sections of singletrack.. They meet fortnightly on Saturdays at 9am. It's a fun and sociable way to give something back to the trails.

Bailies of Bennachie

Location: Aberdeenshire

On the first Saturday of every month the Bailies of Bennachie run work parties on the hill to undertake work such as:

  • footpath maintenance
  • rhododendron removal
  • archaeological survey work
