Glenrickard is the closest woodland to the Brodick ferry and easily accessible by foot. Like the rest of the island, the forest is rich in archaeological remains. There are several chambered cairns, standing stones and an Iron Age hill fort. You'll discover superb views of Goatfell and red squirrels. Look out for them scampering up a tree or foraging on the forest floor.
